Organic Growth and Multiple Integrations Create the Need for a First Chief Revenue Officer

Rice Cohen International was retained by a prominent healthcare consulting firm to fill a critical leadership role by finding a new Chief Revenue Officer. As a growing firm our client realized this need was crucial for its growth trajectory. Their private equity investor had high expectations for growth within the company and hiring a revenue leader became the number one priority for the firm. It was critical that they find an experienced revenue leader who was capable of growing, driving, and scaling revenue following multiple acquisitions and integrations.

Finding a Proven PE-Backed Health Care Services Revenue Leader

Partnering with our client we were able to deduce the exact skills, qualifications, and experiences which they thought an ideal CRO would possess. An ideal candidate was someone who had a deep understanding of marketing, sales, and all other major functions regarding revenue. Collaborating with the internal hiring team we were able to compile a list of targeted companies. The team at Rice Cohen continued to source through these companies and compose a list of qualifying revenue leaders. After screening out nonviable candidates, our team at RCI presented the hiring team with several candidates who were qualified for the role.

Extensive Sourcing and Vetting of Qualified Candidates Leads to Finding Our Client’s First Revenue Leader

By setting up a weekly call we were able to consistently provide the hiring team with a compiled list of potential candidates. Rice Cohen International sourced a total of 495 potential candidates. Out of those people, 175 responded in not being interested in the role, while 47 candidates responded being interested in the role. These candidates were screened and the qualified candidates were presented to our client. Interviewing 7 total candidates allowed the hiring team to narrow down the slate of candidates to a select few. Two candidates were moved to the second to last stage of the interview process. One candidate was moved on to the final step and was ultimately offered a position within the company. Placing a highly qualified candidate within the firm was a massive success for Rice Cohen, our client, and their investor.
