The Situation


One of the largest Talent Consulting firms redesigned their offering’s to be able to better address the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. After successfully completing a Senior Partner hire for their Leadership and Board Practice, our client reached back out to us little over a year later to help the Healthcare Consulting Practice Senior Partner position. Their internal teams were struggling to understand the healthcare industry well enough to be able to source candidates with the needed expertise and needed outside help.


This position required a superior knowledge of the problems facing the healthcare industry as well as a significant understanding of leadership development, great business development skills, an executive presence, and credibility within this specific vertical.


Solution Implemented


Beginning by partnering we scheduled a meeting to do a deep dive into exactly what they were looking for and worked with them to help align the 3 key stakeholders. Our dedicated team then reached out to our vast network of top leaders within the industry. Through proactively recruiting the top talent from a targeted list of companies, we identified every senior level executive believed to potentially be a fit. After reaching out to these highly qualified candidates and completing extensive interviews, we identified over 100 potential fits for the role.


The Search Results


After interviewing over 100 highly qualified senior level individuals we presented a short list of 15 of the top tier candidates to our client. These candidates then interviewed with our client and also completed a series of assessments. Out of these fifteen, four candidates truly stood out amongst their peers. Our client instead of hiring one Healthcare Consulting Practice Senior Partner hired two! One came from a Big 4 firm where he was a Managing Director and the other also came from a big 4 where she was a Partner. In addition, all four of these candidates were such good fits that they created two new positions and hired the other 2 candidates as well. These 4 hires came from a variety of backgrounds all working with senior leadership in the healthcare vertical consulting around the evolving changes and issues specific to this niche market.
