The Situation


One of the largest Talent Consulting firms needed a Leadership and Board Practice Senior Partner and retained Rice Cohen International to assist in the search to find a senior executive to work specifically with their CEO and Board level clients.


The position required a superior understanding the issues faced by boards of directors and chief executive officers, a wealth of industry specific experience, great business development skills, as well as executive level presence and credibility within the space.


Solution Implemented


Beginning with by collaborating with our client we implemented our comprehensive 25 Step Process and reached out to our vast network of top leaders within the industry. Through proactively recruiting the top talent from a targeted list of companies within the talent industry, we identified 52 senior level executives believed to potentially be a fit. After reaching out to all of these highly qualified candidates and completing extensive interviews, we presented the 5 top talent candidates to our client.


The Search Results


After interviewing the short list of candidates, our client chose two finalists to meet with the firm’s Executive Leadership Team. After the final interviews were completed and a decision to extend an offer was made, our team negotiated an offer for the final candidate. This candidate had over 25 years of relevant industry and consulting experience, an outstanding academic background with a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. One thing that also made this individual special was their ability to drive sales with CEO’s and Boards at top organizations. This search was very specific and there were a number of steps in the interviewing process. Still, within 120 days of initiating this successful search, an offer had been accepted and signed by the candidate of choice who quickly began making an impact as the new Leadership and Board Practice Senior Partner.
